Special Operations 2 Navy Seal, Bo Reichenbach, was in Afghanistan on July 17, 2012, when he stepped on a bomb, setting it off and instantly losing his left leg and taking shrapnel in his right. Doctors tried unsuccessfully to save Bo's right leg, and he had more than 30 surgeries in 2 years at Walter Reed Medical Center. Bo said it was his family, and the thought that he may never see his son Landon again, that kept him fighting for his life.
Thanks to generous donors like the Stephen Siller Tunnel to Towers Foundation, Bo and his father are making a dream of theirs a reality in Billings, MT. Bo's family is in the construction business, and it has always been a dream of he and his father's to build a house together, so when Bo returned to Montana they began to do just that.
Grants and donations will provide the home with high tech features that will make Bo's life as a double amputee a bit easier and give him more independence. The house is now nearing completion, and we can't wait to see the finished product! A fabulous combination of carpet, hardwood and tile will be installed in the home thanks to Carpet One Floor & Home of Billings who are donating the flooring installation in the smart home.
Below is a sneak peek at some of the gorgeous flooring selections that Bo, his wife Lacy, and their 7 year old son Landon have chosen:
Lees Little conversations – Adirondak for the stairs and bedrooms
Rustic River – Cleveland Hickory – Chocolate for the main floor
Porada Field Tile – Bel Terra – Rich Brown for the spa area
